HELLO AND WELCOME!
Katie Neudorff, MA, LMHC
I am passionate about working with children, teens and young adults to provide them with a therapeutic environment that foster’s learning and growth. I honor the uniqueness in each person I serve, assessing needs and creating effective treatment plans to reach their therapeutic goals. Therapeutic interventions I use with children to young adults and families specifically include teaching behavior management strategies, social skills training, mindfulness and relaxation training, Art Therapy, and Play Therapy.
I received my Master’s in Counseling at Montana State University in 2012. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) recognized by the state of Washington. I offer counseling services to client’s age 12 to young adult.
MY PSYCHOTHERAPY APPROACH AND CONDITIONS I COMMONLY TREAT
Regardless of the age of my client, I believe increasing self-awareness and confidence to step outside of one’s comfort zone is a very important process to setting the foundation for a successful therapeutic environment. With any of my clients I may utilize therapeutic tools such as journaling, guided visualization and the expressive arts. The modalities I use include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. I bring my background in the fine arts to provide Art Therapy as an important modality while working with my clients. I believe that art is a universal language and very helpful with both children and adults when they are struggling to find their words. If you are looking for help with any of the following I would love to help.
